New product website launched: bigpurpletomato.com

Norfolk Plant Sciences has launched a new website, bigpurpletomato.com, to showcase products using our genetically engineered purple tomato. We are continuing to breed this tomato line, which accumulates high levels of purple anthocyanins in its ripe fruit, with elite varieties of tasty tomatoes. Anthocyanins are antioxidant nutrients with many well-studied health benefits. Tomatoes and juice from these GMO plants can provide an important and convenient nutritional alternative that is already a staple in many informed consumers’ diets.
